Project Description

Introduction to Kali and Filipino Arts

Mixed Weapon Training

$60 month.

All of us have seen an action movie and marveled at the very intricate fight scenes and attractive combat sequences on film? But what many of you don’t know is that the greater percentage of these movies such as Bourne Identity, Book of Eli and 300 use Filipino Martial Arts or Kali/Escrima on film. This art originating from the Southeast Asian Archipelago has shaped western culture not only through film, but also through sports, law enforcement and military combat. The course will begin to develop attributes relating to street boxing, grappling, takedowns and armed vs unarmed combat. Kali is a great addition to your current CQC (Close Quarters Combat) training and can quickly be augmented to an existing curriculum. Or, it is a great base to begin building upon, that can grow with the practitioner.
