Unarmed Security Officer/Guard Requirements for the State of Tennessee Class cost: $75.00 (4 hours) Training to become a Tennessee certified unarmed security officer includes an examination covering specific subject materials. The safety restraint course develops principles of controlling a subject’s balance and leverage through a series of drills put into a flow. We start with wrist control and progress through different branching techniques while practicing controlled mechanics and operator/subject safety during contact. This also meets the new Dallas Law state requirements that started January 1, 2023 for all armed and unarmed Security officers working around alcohol.
