Unarmed Security Officer/Guard Requirements for the State of Tennessee Class cost: $75.00 (4 hours) Training to become a Tennessee certified unarmed security officer includes an examination covering specific subject materials. All candidates must complete a four hour basic course including one (1) hour each of:   Orientation Legal powers and limitations of a security guard/officer Emergency Procedures General Duties

ARMED RE-CERTIFICATION     Class cost: $75.00 (4 hours) A re-certification for a Tennessee armed security officer must occur every two years. Every two (2) years armed security guards must complete 4 hours of refresher training and re-qualify in the use of a firearm by achieving a minimum of 70% on any silhouette target course approved by the commissioner prior to the renewal of their guard registration. Subject material covered in re-certification:  Firearms safety guidelines -- Function and operation of a firearm -- Basic marksmanship skills -- Practical Performance      

Class time 8 hrs.  Class cost $150. This is a 5 step hands-on women’s self defense program designed to increase your situational awareness and teach you powerful force options in escape and strike principles.  No matter your size, age or physical condition, these methods will increase your confidence, your awareness and self-defense skills.  This course focuses on Situational Awareness, Escapes, Ground Escapes, Strikes and Weapons.

Class time 3 hrs.  Class cost is $75. PREREQUISITE:  BASIC HANDGUN, HANDGUN CARRY PERMIT OR PRIVATE LESSON FROM ZIRKOPS TRAINING TO ASSESS YOUR SKILL/SAFETY LEVEL BEFORE ATTENDING ADVANCED TRAINING CLASSES. If you have not attended one of the Pre-Requisite classes in the last 2 years, expect to be contacted about an assessment to determine skill and safety level.  Please understand, we have people that "tell" us they are great at safety and shooting, and then get redirected or re-trained because they are not safe enough to put on the ground beside another person with a loaded weapon.   For EVERYONE'S SAFETY,  we MUST make sure [...]
