Security Guard Training

ARMED RE-CERTIFICATION     Class cost: $80.00 (4 hours) A re-certification for a Tennessee armed security officer must occur every two years. Every two (2) years armed security guards must complete 4 hours of refresher training and re-qualify in the use of a firearm by achieving a minimum of 70% on any silhouette target course approved by the commissioner prior to the renewal of their guard registration. Subject material covered in re-certification:  Firearms safety guidelines -- Function and operation of a firearm -- Basic marksmanship skills -- Practical Performance
