IN-YO is the Japanese pronunciation for the written characters pronounced YIN and YANG in Chinese. This is the concept of duality and complementary opposites such as positive and negative, light and dark, black and white, etc.. With regard to our martial arts system, it implies that it is all inclusive utilizing principles and techniques that can be hard or soft, linear or circular, fast or slow, etc . depending on the situation.
